December 10th, a full moon and the eclipse at the same time. I wasn't sure what it was but I did felt strong power from up in the sky/the universe for about a week before that. It was like someone above was trying to tell me something and felt like I already knew it deep in my memories. Weird. 12月10日、満月と月食が同時に起こった夜。ハッキリとはわからないけど、その１週間前ぐらいから凄い強いパワーを空か宇宙みたいな所から感じていて。なんていうか、誰かが私に何か伝えようとしていて、しかもそれは私が記憶の奥の方で知ってたことみたいな感じ。不思議。
We left Sedona and driving for a while, suddenly this whole western movie themed town called Wickenburg appeared in front of us from nowhere. I could not believe this place cause I thought this kind of towns are all gone now and only exists in the movies! I'm not a huge fan of western movies but got so excited to see it in the real world. Probably I was the one who was excited about this the most in three of us.haha The time was around 9 at night but most of the restaurants and stores were closed and the whole town was so dark. I took some photos of the streets but it was too dark. And oh now I remember. Before we got here we talked about scary stories of kid napping and raping etc in the car. So we all scared out every time we see people and cars passing by. Though there was almost no one there. But you know if something happens to us and if we scream for help nobody would here us cause no one's there!LOL セドナを出て少しすると、いきなり全てが西部劇風の町が現れました。こういう街並みって、もうなくなってしまって映画の中にしか存在ないものだと思ってたから、目の前の光景が信じられなかった！特に西部劇の大ファンというわけでもないんだけど、こういうのを現実の世界で見てることに感動して、すごく興奮した。たぶん３人の中で私が１番エキサイトしてたと思う。笑 このとき時刻はだいたい夜の９時だったんだけど、ほとんど全部のレストランやお店がもう既に閉まっていて、町中真っ暗でした。通りの写真とか少し撮ったけど、暗すぎて写らなかった。 あ、それから今思い出したけど、ここに着く前、私たちは車の中でずっと誘拐とかレイプの怖い話をしていて。だから、ここに着いてから車や人が通る度にすごいビビってた。といってもほとんど人なんていなかったんだけど。でも、もしも何か起きたとして私たちが助けを求めて叫んだとしても絶対誰にも気付いてもらえなさそうな感じだったの！笑
Me, climbed up this pole and screaming. Somehow I was so hyper at the time. 電柱に登って叫ぶ私。この時なぜか私すごくハイパーだった。

We spent an hour or so in here then got back to the desert again. It was too dark on the road to take photos but I won't forget how beautiful the view was. The moon was so bright with so many stars and the mountains with deep dark shadow passing one by one. Sometimes little houses, farms and motels, too. The same suburbs as in the movies. I felt so calm and peaceful in the back seat of the car, looking at those mountains and listening to Mari and Yummy talking. The music was the sound track of Brown Bunny. この町に１時間ぐらいいた後、また荒野へと戻りました。道中暗すぎて写真にはおさめられなかったけれど、そこで見た景色は一生忘れられないくらい素敵だった。 月が明るくて、星もたくさんで、濃い影に覆われた山々がどんどん飛び去って行った。たまに小さな家とか農場やモーテルも。 車の後部座席で私はその景色を見ながら、マリとヤミーが話しているのをぼんやり聴いていて、すごく平和で穏やかな気持ちでした。この時の音楽はブラウンバニーのサウンドトラックでした。
Photo diary of my west coast trip is still continuing. Sorry it took so long from the last post DAY 11 PART1. Sedona became a very important thing for me. Lots of stuff and thoughts in those 2 days we were there. A while before I went on the trip I somehow watched Pocahontas(LOL) for the first time in like 15 years. I didn't like it much when I was little but now it was amazing. I cried a lot. Then it made me curious about Native Americans. I read some books and discovered about Sedona. And then at the same timing I saw two shows about Sedona on TV. I immediately felt I need to visit that place but still it was not a real idea at all. I and Yummy was planning to take a little trip to somewhere like Grand Canyon or national parks. Sedona was one of them but it's a little too far from LA so we nearly decided to go to Grand Canyon. However when we told Mari about it she said we should go to Sedona and she also offered to drive with us to there. Thanks × 100 Mari. Plus, she had been there once before. A perfect guide. 前回のポストDAY11 PART1から随分時間かかってしまいましたが、、旅のフォトダイアリー、まだ続いております。 セドナは私にとって本当に大事な出来事になった。いろんなことがあったし、いろんなこと考えました。 今回の西海岸への旅に出る少し前に、実に１５年振りくらいにポカホンタス見て。( 笑）小さい頃は特に好きではなかったんだけど、今見ると本当に素晴らしい。かなり泣きました。で、そこからネイティブアメリカンのことに興味を持って、いくつか本読んだりしてる中でセドナのことも知って。そして、調度そのタイミングで、テレビで２回ぐらいセドナについてたまたま観た。もうこれはいつか行かなきゃいけない所だなと思ったけど、でもそれはまだ全然現実的なことではなかったわけです。 当初ヤミーと私は、旅行中にどこかグランドキャニオンとか国立公園とかに行ってみようと言っていて、セドナも候補の一つではあったんだけど、ちょっと遠すぎるので私たちの行き先はグランドキャニオンに決まりかけていました。ところがそのことをマリに話すと、絶対セドナに行った方が良いと言われ、しかも一緒に車で行こうと提案してくれて。もう、マリありがとう×１００。プラス、マリは前に一回行ったことがあったので、完璧なガイドだよね。
On the way we once saw a hitchhiker but we were driving too fast and it was late to pick the person up when we recognize. So we were talking like next time we see one we should pick him/her up. And then right before entering the town we found one! and we picked him up. 道中、私たちは１回ヒッチハイカーを見かけて乗せてあげようと思ったんだけど、だいぶ車飛ばしてたので気付いた時にはちょっと行き過ぎてました。それで次見つけたら絶対乗せようなんて話してた。そして、セドナの街に入る少し前で、いた！そして車を停めてその人を乗せた。
Andrew! He was on his way home from work and his car's been broken so he was trying to hitch.(sounds crazy for us as Japanese people!ha) He said he likes punk rock then our car turned into our(two) punk rock karaoke party. それがアンドリュー！仕事の帰りで、自分の車が故障中のためヒッチハイクしていたところだったそう。（日本人の私たちからするとクレイジーだよね！笑） パンクが好きとわかって、車の中は私とアンドリューのパンクロックカラオケ大会になりました。
He took us to the secret cave in the cliff where only Sedona locals know. He told us teenagers would come here and hang out. セドナに住んでる人しか知らないらしい崖の中にある秘密の洞窟に案内してくれました。ティーネイジャーとかここに来て遊ぶらしい。

After we dropped him off in the town we headed to Airport Mesa to see the sun sets. This spot is one of the 4 greatest vortex in Sedona. You can also see other vortex from here. アンドリューを街で降ろした後、私たちはセドナの４大ボルテックスの一つであるエアポートメサに夕日を見に行きました。他のボルテックスもここから見える。
There were some people there too but they all gone when it get dark. It felt too good and we didn't leave. We explored around the vortex, danced, screamed and got naked and howling to the moon. It was almost full moon that night you know. When we were howling naked somebody howled back from far in the woods. We all got so freaked out. First we thought it's humans. That was totally unexpected to have other people here and we were naked. And I also though it might be wolves or coyotes and that would be much scarier cause we were 3 of fresh meat with no clothes on. Anyway it was too dark so we hurried back to the car. I was half scared and excited to think it was coyotes'. 行った時は他にも何人か夕日を見るために来ている人がいたけど、暗くなって誰もいなくなって。でも本当にそこにいるのが気持ちよくて私たちは全然帰る予定無しでした。ボルテックスの周りを探検したり、踊ったり、叫んだり、そして裸になって月に遠吠えしたりしてた。ほとんど満月だったしさ〜。 裸で月に向かって吠えてる時、どこか暗い森の中から声が帰って来て、それはもう死ぬほどビックリしたよね。最初その声の主は人間だと思ってヤバいと思ったんだけど、なんせ裸だし。でも次にもしかするとオオカミとかコヨーテかもしれないと思って、もしそうだとしたら生命の危機。なんせ私たちは３つの大きな肉の塊で、しかも何も着てない。どちらにしろもう真っ暗だし急いで車に戻りました。でも私はあの声がコヨーテだったかもしれないと思うと怖いとワクワクの間の気持ちでした。
Back to town we had Mexican dinner. And after that something happened and it turned on our laugh switch. We laughed super hard about nothing and rolled on the ground. 街に戻って来てその夜はメキシコ料理食べました。その後、なんでかよく覚えてないけど何かが起こって私たちの笑いスイッチが全開になってしまって、なんでもないことに大笑いして地面に転がって笑ってた。
Taking a break on the beauty salon kind of chairs on the street. Exhausted from laughing. That's a happy thing. 置いてあったビューティサロン用の椅子でしばし休憩。笑い疲れ。幸せなことだね。
We wasn't planning to stay over the night but it was late at night and raining so hard. So we had to. We called several motels but most of them were full. We finally found one and stayed there. セドナで泊まるつもりはなかったんだけど、もう大分遅かったしひどく雨が降っていたので、帰らずに泊まることになった。いろんなモーテルに電話したんだけどほとんどどこもいっぱいで、やっと１つ見つけてそこにその晩は泊まりました。
Next morning Andrew showed up to our motel and took us to the nice diner. The omelet we had there was really good. 翌朝、アンドリューが私たちのモーテルに来て、素敵なダイナーに連れて行ってくれました。そこで食べたオムレツ、本当に美味しかったなあ。
And then he invited us to his house and we met his room mate and their lovely dogs. They had a camping car which I want since I was little and nice huge roof. He showed me a cool book called the anarchist cookbook. It's about all the hows to make bombs,drugs,weapons and stuff. I knew about his book but was the first time to see the one so I enjoyed a lot. そして彼のお宅に招いてもらいました。ルームメイトと可愛い犬様たちにも会いました。キャンピングカー（私が小さい頃からずっと欲しいと思ってる物！）や広い屋根があって。 アンドリューが、アナキストクックブックという本を持ってきて見せてくれました。これは、爆弾とかドラッグとか武器とか色んな物の作り方が書いてある本で、知ってはいたんだけど初めて実物見たのですごい面白かった。
We had a little time for shopping after we left his house. I got lots of power stones.*yay* I spent more money on them than any other things in this trip. We left this magical place that night. Back to the real world, 8hours drive to LA. Before leaving there Mari took us to the perfect spot to see the vortex for the last time. We didn't decide anything but naturally we spent our last time in here separately in silence. It was so dark and we couldn't tell where other two were. Remember one of scene The Darjeeling Limited that after the brothers kicked out of their train and trying to do some ceremony in the desert at night? You can imagine us there like that. LOL As we got back in the car and finally leaving the city I found the huge cloud in the sky looked exactly like an eagle. It was really definite and was nothing but a huge eagle flying straight to the mountain. It was powerful. I felt its saying goodbye and see you soon to us. I strongly felt that I'll be coming back again someday. アンドリューの家を出て、私たちは少しの間お買い物タイム。私はパワーストーンたくさんゲットしました（イェーイ）旅行中買った物のどれよりもここでお金使ってしまいました。 その夜私たちはこの素敵な場所を後にし、現実の世界に戻りました。LAまで車で８時間。 出る前に、最後にボルテックスを眺めるのに最適なスポットにマリが連れて行ってくれました。特にそう決めたわけではなかったけれど、そこではそれぞれ離れて静かに最後の時をすごしました。真っ暗で他の２人がどこにいるかもわからないぐらいだった。『ダージリン急行』で三兄弟が電車を追い出された後、砂漠の中でそれぞれに別れて儀式みたいのする場面、覚えてる？そんな感じだったと想像してください。笑 車に戻ってとうとう帰っていく時、まさに鷲みたいに見える大きい雲を見つけました。鷲っぽいどころか、もう本当に巨大な鷲が真っ直ぐ飛んで行っているようにしか見えなかった。そしてすごいパワフル。私にはその鷲が私たちに向かって、さようならまたね！って言ってるように感じたし、あぁきっとまたここに戻ってくることになるんだろうと感じた。
