the hut where all the puppies were born

When I went to Hokkaido this summer I found they're breaking that hut down.
My grandfather used to have dozens of labradors and he loved every one of them. Both of my grand parents were old so grandmother seemed not to want to have puppies anymore.
But one day he took me to this hut and showed me a week old tiny puppies. They were the same size as my hand and their eyes were still closed.
When we leave he told me not to tell anyone about this. We shared his secret. I was so proud that he chose me not my grandmother or my dad to show the puppies.
夏に北海道に行った時、この小屋が壊されてるのを見付けました。
私の祖父は昔、何十匹ものラブラドール犬を飼っていて、どの子のこともとっても可愛がってたんだけど、祖父母とも歳をとったので祖母はもうこれ以上増やしてほしくなかったみたい。
でもある時、祖父が私をこの小屋に連れてきて生まれて１週間しか経ってない小さな子犬たちを見せてくれました。本当に小さくて私の手に乗る大きさで、まだ目も開いてなかった。
そこを出る時に祖父から、このことは秘密だから誰にも言っちゃだめだよと言われました。私は祖父が、祖母でも父でもなく私にこの秘密を教えてくれたことが凄く誇らしかったなあ。
