teeth

I went to the dentist today and they put some kind of cover on my tooth to close the toothache hole. I was wondering how long it lasts. And then I realized or remembered I've been using my teeth and my body for twenty years now. That is long time to use one thing compare to other stuff.
This cover can't stay in my mouth till I die but my other teeth can! And so as other organs in our body. Hair and skin are always changing to new ones though.
Everyone knows they can keep their teeth till they die and I know,too. But somehow I was amazed how human bodies are well made.

今日、歯医者に行って治療した虫歯の穴を覆うためのカバーみたいのをはめました。で、これはどのぐらい保つものなのかなぁとか思ってて。それで気付いたというか思い出したんだけど、自分の歯を含め肉体をもう２０年間も使い続けてるわけです。一つの物を使い続けるにしてはとても長い年数だよね。
このカバーは死ぬまで使い続けることは出来ないけど、元から持ってる歯はそれが可能！他の器官だってそうだし。髪や皮膚は常に新しいものに変わるけど。
自分の歯を死ぬまで使い続けられることぐらいみんな知ってるし、もちろん私だって知ってたことだけど、でもなんか人間の体ってよくできてるなぁと思って感激。
こんなこと考えてるなんて私よっぽど暇だと思われるわ。時間はたっぷりあります。
